The world of fashion doll collectors was
introduced to Alexandra Fairchild Ford™ in
2000. As the editor of Elan™, the cutting
edge fashion magazine, Alex has created a publication for women looking for ways
to take what is shown on the runway and turn it into wearable fashion for
themselves. She sets the pace with her busy schedule of events, not only in
fashion circles, but also through her charity work, and in her personal time as
well.
In 2001, she asked her friend Paris
Williams™ to join the staff as Entertainment Editor. Paris has
worked extensively in both the music and fashion fields and is known and
respected by all those who have worked with her. With a unique approach to
fashion, Paris offers insight into upcoming trends from behind the scenes to in
front of the camera.
Alex redecorated her offices in 2002 with the
help of Jadde Lee™, an architect and
friend. The results were so spectacular that Alex invited Jadde Lee to come on
board as the guest editor of the "On Image" column. Named for her
grandmother, she brings her family's culture and heritage to her work. Her sense
of design and style has lent a new vision to Elan and the fashion world.
With three talented and savvy women to guide the
way, Elan will be a strong influence in the world of fashion for many seasons to
come. As Madame Alexander Dolls celebrates its 80th Anniversary, see all that's
new and fashionable from the pages of Alex's magazine.
