Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2025

By accessing or using StillPlays, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use StillPlays. By using the platform, you represent that you are of legal age and that all information you provide is accurate and up to date.

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content at our discretion if we believe a user has violated these terms or applicable law.

2. Seller Rules

Sellers on StillPlays are held to a high standard of honesty and care. By listing items, you agree to:

  • List items accurately, including honest condition grades and clear photos
  • Ship all sold items within 3 business days of a confirmed purchase
  • Honor all sales — backing out of a completed sale without valid cause may result in account suspension
  • Not list counterfeit, bootleg, pirated, or stolen media of any kind
  • Not misrepresent region-locked items (e.g. listing a Region B Blu-ray as Region A)
  • Package items safely and use appropriate shipping materials for physical media

Sellers are responsible for accurately describing items and for resolving issues directly with buyers in good faith before escalating to StillPlays.

3. Buyer Rules

By purchasing on StillPlays, buyers agree to:

  • Pay promptly upon completing a purchase — unpaid orders may result in account action
  • Open any disputes within 7 days of confirmed delivery
  • Contact the seller in good faith before filing a dispute
  • Not engage in fraudulent chargebacks — disputes must be filed through the StillPlays platform first

4. Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited on StillPlays and will result in listing removal and possible account termination:

  • Bootleg or pirated recordings (unofficial pressings, unauthorized duplications)
  • Counterfeit or fake editions of genuine releases
  • Stolen goods of any kind
  • Region-locked items misrepresented as compatible with another region
  • Items that violate any applicable law or third-party rights

5. Fees & Payments

StillPlays charges a platform fee on each completed sale. The current fee structure is displayed in your seller dashboard at the time of listing. Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Stripe's standard processing fees apply in addition to the StillPlays platform fee. StillPlays does not store or have direct access to your payment card details.

Seller payouts are processed through Stripe Connect. You must complete Stripe's identity verification requirements to receive payouts.

6. Disputes & Mediation

When a buyer and seller cannot resolve an issue directly, StillPlays may mediate at its discretion. To open a dispute:

  • Contact the seller first and allow 48 hours for a response
  • If unresolved, open a dispute through your orders page within 7 days of confirmed delivery
  • Provide photos, tracking info, and any relevant communications

StillPlays' decisions in mediated disputes are final. We reserve the right to issue refunds, release funds, or take account action based on the evidence provided.

7. Account Termination

StillPlays reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts at its sole discretion, including for (but not limited to) violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, repeated negative feedback, or behaviour harmful to the community.

Users may close their own account at any time by contacting us. Closing your account does not automatically cancel in-progress orders — those must be resolved first.

8. Limitation of Liability

StillPlays is a marketplace platform — we are not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, StillPlays is not liable for:

  • The quality, safety, legality, or authenticity of listed items
  • Loss or damage during shipping
  • Buyer or seller conduct
  • Interruptions to service or data loss

Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid by you to StillPlays in the 3 months preceding the claim.
